2nd Annual New England 600 Rally

The first New England 600 Rally was such a success it's being repeated this June. Organized by Jim and Marjie Favors, the rally starts in Annapolis. The fleet will transit up the Chesapeake, overnight in the Chesapeake/Delaware Canal, down the Delaware and onward off the cost of New Jersey, through New York City, down Long Island Sound to Newport. Some of the fleet will finish there, others may elect to make the final leg to Camden.

Prior to departing, the participants attend briefings covering pertinent information regarding the transit. Safety equipment, rigging, and engine Inspections will be conducted on each vessel prior to departing Annapolis.

A "Bon Voyage" party is be held prior to departing Annapolis and a "Welcome to New England" party will be scheduled in Newport after the fleet's arrival at which time awards will be presented to participants ending their voyage in Newport.

Participants continuing on will attend final briefings and depart for a nonstop transit to Camden. A "Welcome Down East" party will be held after the fleet arrives in Camden, and final awards are presented to the remaining participants that have completed the transit.

All vessels will receive an award with additional awards being presented for Seamanship, Fishing Skills and Navigation Excellence.

Expected departure from Annapolis is late June, with arrival in Camden on July 4.
