SEATTLE — Dave Villwock drove Bernie Little's Miss Budweiser to victory at the General Motors Cup August 4 in Seattle, Wash., the fifth race of the Budweiser Unlimited Hydroplane Series.

Celebrating the return of team owner Bernie Little with a perfect day, the Miss Budweiser team combined a strong set-up for the windy race course with savvy driving by Villwock to score their third victory of the season. Villwock took the lead from Mark Tate on the backstretch of lap one and led to the finish. Little had missed the last three races after a bout of pneumonia. He vowed to return to Seattle, where he has never missed a race in his 40 year Unlimited hydroplane career. "I'll have a smile all the way home," said Little.

"Having Bernie here meant a lot to me and to the entire Miss Budweiser team" said Villwock. " He has a calming influence that helps us a lot, especially me."

"I don't really want to ever fly the boat like that again," said runner-up Nate Brown who valiantly chased Villwock to the finish in the U-16 Miss Elam Plus. Third place went to veteran Mark Tate in the U-2 Miss Trendwest.
