In a significant expansion of its electrification agenda, Maserati introduced its latest innovation, the TRIDENTE, a fully electric luxury motorboat. This announcement was part of the grand "Folgore Day" event held in Rimini, Italy, a gathering that also featured the debut of the Maserati GranCabrio Folgore, the electric convertible model from the automotive giant.

Maserati, a name synonymous with luxury and innovation, marked its 110th anniversary by venturing into electric marine mobility with the launch of the TRIDENTE. This move aligns with the company's holistic approach to electrification, which now spans from automobiles to marine vessels. Developed in collaboration with Vita Power, a pioneer in marine technology aimed at reducing environmental impact, the TRIDENTE represents a new era in nautical engineering.

The TRIDENTE, constructed with high-performance carbon fiber and expertly finished by Hodgdon Yachts artisans, measures just over 34 feet in length and is designed for daily cruising on lakes and coastal waters and is also an ideal tender for luxury megayachts. She's built to accommodate up to eight passengers and impresses with a cruising speed of 25 knots and a top speed of 40 knots. Other features include a large touchscreen at the helm, seating for eight, and a stern area with a sundeck bed and swim platform.

Propulsion System: Twin Motors, 100% Electric Power

The Tridente is equipped with two electric motors delivering a total of 600 horsepower and a cruising range of up to 43 miles. It houses four batteries—two on the starboard side and two on the port side. The vessel boasts a rapid DC charging capability, reaching full charge in less than an hour, emphasizing both performance and convenience.

The introduction of the TRIDENTE is a part of Maserati's broader strategy to fully electrify its product range by 2028. This strategy was highlighted earlier this year when Maserati outlined its vision for a sustainable, profitable future with a focus on continuous evolution.

Folgore Day: 110 Years of Maserati

Folgore Day not only celebrated Maserati's rich heritage and commitment to electrification but also featured thematic showcases such as electric mobility displays, the Maserati Fuoriserie customization program, and discussions on future innovations.

The "It Turns You On" campaign, launched to celebrate Folgore Day and usher in Maserati's new era, features a video with Italian musician Damiano David. Known for his role as the lead singer of rock band Måneskin, David stars in a 90-second film created by Naïve and produced by Buddy Film. The film, directed by Gabriele Mainetti and shot by Diego Indraccolo with stills by Paolo Zerbini, showcases David driving Maserati's first 100% electric car, moving from one Maserati model to another throughout the piece, and captures the brand’s essence—passion, vision, innovation, and Italian spirit.

By integrating cutting-edge technology with Italian craftsmanship, Maserati continues to shape the future of luxury mobility, both on land and now, on water. The TRIDENTE is poised to become a new symbol of this transformation, reflecting the brand's commitment to elegance, performance, and environmental stewardship.
