The Premier Class Association, Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron, St. Pierre Yacht Club and Conseil General de Saint Pierre are planning a race from Halifax to St. Pierre this summer. The 360-mile race will start from Halifax on or around July 8, to finish in St. Pierre in time for participants to take part in Bastille Day celebrations July 10 to 15. The race will be open to monohull sailing yachts over 28 feet l.o.a. which meet Canadian Ministry of Transport safety standards and other requirements to be specified in the Notice of Race.
