FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Formula Boats has signaled its intent to support boating safety initiatives by purchasing 1,000 additional Boater101 Manuals for distribution to their consumers. This is the second year the boat manufacturer has implemented its program of including the Boater101 manual with every boat shipped from its manufacturing facility.

The inclusion of these manuals is an unmistakable indicator of Formula's commitment to educate boaters before they hit the water. This proactive approach seeks to minimize the possibility of boating accidents and related injury by utilizing the eagerness associated with owning a new vessel. Still, Formula's efforts do not stop there. In continuing to educate boaters, the industry-leading builder also includes Boater101 books with warranty transfers and marketing packages in an effort to ensure that each of their customers has access to the best in boating safety resources.

"In addition to providing all of our new Formula clients one of the Boater 101 course manuals we also invite them to study the manual's safety information, go on the Marine University website to learn more about their particular state's safety and environmental issues, and to take the online test." Said Scott Porter, president of Formula Boats. "I highly endorse Marine University's effort to offer today's boaters a convenient opportunity to become more familiar with Boating Safety and invite other boat builders to join this exciting opportunity as a sponsor and safe boating supporter!"

Beyond providing their clients access to the comprehensive Boater101 manual, Formula continues to promote water safety by maintaining their long-held Gold Level sponsorship of Marine University. Recognizing the importance of safe boating practices, Formula has actively joined other leading marine industry companies in promoting Boater101, an industry-endorsed boating safety education course that provides tailored instruction to consumers through boat dealerships and through an interactive online course.

"Our partnership with Formula introduces consumers to the basic boating knowledge they need to operate a boat, making them more confident boaters and ultimately lifetime boaters," said Susan Engle, president of Marine University. "It is our goal to minimize barriers to boating and continue to work with industry leaders to grow the marine industry."
