charter yacht TabooYes, I know it's barely spring, but I just received a Christmas/New Year's discount offer that has me humming a few bars of "Joy to the World."

Nicholson Yachts sends word that the 85-foot sailing yacht Taboo is offering a $10,000 discount for anyone who books a 10-day Christmas/New Year's charter in the Caribbean. Here's how the math works:

The regular weekly base rate for 10 guests aboard Taboo during the holidays is $34,900. Per day, that rate is just shy of $5,000. So, for a typical 10-day holiday charter (seven days plus three), the normal base rate would be about $49,900.

Instead, Taboo is now offering 10 days of charter during the holidays for $39,900, hence the $10,000 savings.

And, if you bring eight guests instead of 10, the 10-day rate drops to $38,000 even.

Only one group can take advantage of this offer, since it's only good for the Christmas/New Year's dates. If you'd like to be the one to snag the deal, contact any reputable charter broker today.
