Built in Salcombe and named in the tradition of these iconic vessels (all named after birds), 'Alleron II' has undergone a significant restoration, making her a rare find for any sailing enthusiast. Key Features: Classic Construction: Built with mahogany planking on green oak ribs, 'Alleron II' boasts a timeless design. The restoration involved replacing four planks, 23 ribs, and all the decking with durable Sapele plywood. The quarters were meticulously rebuilt, and the transom has been reinforced for added strength. Rigging & Spars: Equipped with a cast iron lifting keel and pitch pine spars, she features both a main mast and a mizzen mast, along with a bowsprit. Restoration Potential: The vessel comes with a suit of sails, which, while past their prime, can serve as excellent templates for new ones. An assortment of deck fittings is included, allowing the new owner the flexibility to update and position them to their preference. Trailer: The trailer, purchased new, has never been immersed and is in excellent condition. The Boat has an aluminum hull with a 4' dive platform aft. New keel coolers installed about 7 years ago. Double the size of the original coolers. Now they are so efficient that they they cool the engines no matter what the water temperature is. Engines and transmissions rebuilt 5 years ago and currently have minimal hours since the rebuild. Dive, fishing, passenger, hauling material or tug boat. This twin engine vessel is the most versatile boat around for all your water transportation needs. I used this boat to haul people, fuel, fresh water and materials from Belize City out to lighthouse reef atoll 48 miles offshore. Once there we set up for diving and did a little trolling for wahoo and mahi.
