The 50ft centre-cockpit sector has always been the pumping heart of Contest Yachts. Each model over the years the most popular, for the ever-improving balance of sailing ease, performance and onboard comforts. The advanced hull-form achieving so well the three most key modern targets. These are: performance up and down wind, stability for low angles of heel, and huge accommodation. And all accomplished with the inherent sea safety and comfort expected of a Contest. In the newly enabled and scaled deck and cabin plans, this brings also so much more of our larger yacht thinking. The spacious master cabin echoes the play of colours and materials that grace the main deck, in a peerless private setting that’s a joy to discover.The minimalist yet detailed design provides a continual counterpoint to the walk-in wardrobe and the grand bathroom, where the smoked-glass inserts and functionality of form are in tune with current trends. The winning style of this desirable new model is based on a blend of contrasting textures. The striped ceiling, the ribbed surface of the walls, the grid-pattern headboards and the lounge furniture’s oblique-stripe motif play off one another in a profound natural harmony. Interior styling is by superyacht stars Wetzels Brown, who introduce two identical, half-beam, VIP double guest suites forward of the saloon. Rare at this size, these are even retained when opting for a four- in place of three-cabin configuration.

The flybridge yacht created by the Cattolica-based Shipyard features cutting-edge design and technology solutions, where the stylistic and architectural elements work together in harmony right down to the tiniest detail.
A stand out boat in so many ways, the Contest 52MC Fastlane is a spectacularly successful design – especially so as she is Contest Yachts’ first ever motor boat in this league. The press can’t get enough of her, loving her looks and her handling which they say astounds, her innovative, half-planing hull riding as though on rails, tracking straight and staying flat right through the tightest of turns. With power options from twin 350hp to 550hp diesels she’s equally comfortable at 8 or 28 knots, and soft rides through the nastiest chop. And she’s a dry boat, her pronounced spray rails cascading the breaking water away.
