Description
Electric-powered motor catamaran
The boat is built to sail on the French canals. These canals and locks are suitable for the “spits” cargo ship. So I kept within the dimensions of the “spits”
The max width on deck level is 4.5 m, max. height at the top 2.75 m, water draft incl. pods is 0.75 m
The roof is a rectangle at stern and bow 3.47 width.
We have a waste (black) water holding tank of 80 l just for the electric pump toilet. The toilet rinses with outboard water by pump.
The boat is heated by movable electric heater/ventilators 3 KW each.
There is a manual with a lot of information in Dutch. Ask for the manual.
The Da Capo is an electrically propelled motor catamaran on which one can live and sail comfortably.
The large salon with kitchen and steering position/dashboard, dining table, and seating areas has a spacious view all around due to the HR ++ double glazing. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, ceramic cooktop with 4 cooking zones, and a sink.
The salon has ample storage space in the kitchen unit and the benches. The benches and the dining table can be converted into a spacious double bed.
The also spacious bedroom with glass to the floor and a door to the aft deck is equipped with a double bed and has open and closed wardrobe walls on both sides for clothing, life jackets, books, etc.
The sanitary facilities consist of a separate toilet room with an electric toilet and a shower and sink in the bathroom. Both rooms can be combined into one space.
The foredeck offers space to sit comfortably on the fixed bench with storage. There is a swimming ladder at the aft deck.
The boat is fully electric, all functions operate on 230/12/24 or 48 Volt.
The 14 solar panels and the battery bank of 30 Kwh provide a robust power supply for sailing, cooking, hot water, heating, audio/video, and lighting, with almost no need to use the shore power connection. For the last 3 years, the electric system has functioned autonomously without shore power.
2 rotating Still Pod motors of 8 Kw each provide both propulsion and steering.
