The engines consume 1/2 gallon per hour per side at 2500 RPM producing 6.5-7.5 knots. Consistently averages 7.5 to 8 knots under sail. Electronics: One tablet with Navionics is used for navigation.  Raymarine sailing instruments include depth/speed, and wind.  An existing Raymarine autopilot helps with the steering and there is a new Raymarine EV-400 aboard and ready to be installed.  Watchmate AIS transceiver enhances safety. There are three ICOM VHF Marine radios, two handhelds and one fixed mount radio at the navigation station.  The navigation station has been beautifully redone. $1,095,000

Large $100K price reduction. The owner is motivated to move on and offers are highly encouraged. Libeccio is welcoming viewings on short notice in San Francisco.  Catana is widely acclaimed for building spectacular, blue water cats that marry sailing performance and luxury like no other brand. Catana 65 LIBECCIO raises the bar further still.  LIBECCIO's second owners purchased her directly from the Catana factory in France in her original layout and configuration and sailed her for three years all over the Mediterranean. This cruising couple made the wise decision to store the yacht in Canet, at the Catana yard, each winter. There, they upgraded the yacht using only yard staff and contractors. This culminated in a transformative refit in 2017 that radically enhanced the aesthetic, comfort and functionality of this yacht. The starboard owner's hull was modified to create a true master cabin with walk-in closet in place of the original bathroom. A very large bathroom with walk-in shower was created in place of the original forward starboard cabin - consider the space this affords. The floors were replaced with a light teak-holly to enhance natural light. The engines, generator, standing rigging, dinghy and outboard were all replaced with new. Today, there is not a more elegant, ergonomically sound or faster Catana 65 on the oceans.  Scroll through the photos attached, you will impressed with her sheer line, her towering mast, her high bridge-deck clearance which hint at her sailing performance. Her interior is all about light and contemporary lines. Real wood veneer finishes, brushed aluminum trims, Corian and leather all lend to an authentic feel of refinement that is seldom found on cats anymore.  LIBECCIO sports a spectacular LORIMA carbon mast with textile rigging and is the only Catana 65 to have the forward "cross" - consisting of longeron/bowsprit (compression post), crossbeam and gull striker - in carbon fiber to substantially reduce weight in the bows. A full suite of sails including 135 sq meter mainsail, self-tacking solent, large genoa/screecher, and assymetric spinnaker coupled to 6 electric winches facilitate short-handed maneuvering and provide sail plans for all windspeed ranges and angles.  The current owner purchased LIBECCIO in Canet from his overachieving predecessor in 2019 and continued his work in the same spirit. The fuel tanks were moved aft from the mast-foot lockers to the cockpit lockers to further reduce weight forward and improve sailing performance in light airs. With long passages on the agenda, the new owner also fitted a crew cabin in the port forepeak complete with AC to accommodate extra crew. The yacht can sleep up to 9 passengers in 4 double cabins + crew cabin! LIBECCIO completed the ARC 2019, transited Panama and sailed on to the Galapagos, Marquesas, Hawaii and California. She has always had a full time skipper aboard under the current ownership.  LIBECCIO is turn key and offers a rare opportunity for a couple or family to sail southwest through the Pacific. Or why not explore the Northwestern US, Canada and Alaska this summer on this unusually well outfitted and sea-kindly platform. The Catana 65 is equipped with straight propeller shafts fitted through skegs. No sail-drives on this cat! Stray logs, containers or marine mammals will never be a hazard. Go long, go far!         Note: This yacht is subject to an exclusive listing agreement with Multihulls Northwest LLC and it is not offered for sale by TMC. TMC is providing this information in an effort to represent buyers in the purchase of this vessel.

    Switch 51

    Saint Augustine, Florida
    2000
    $475,000

The Switch 51 is a classic, high performance world voyager designed by VPLP. She was built with high tech materials and techniques at Sud Composites in Sete, France. Sud built 18 of these fine performance catamarans from 2000 to 2007, at which time the yard was taken over by Swiss Cat, another renowned builder of boutique performance cats.  During the early years at Sud Composites, The Multihull Company was the North American distributor and we sold several of these exceptional cats to our customers, all of whom loved the boats and sailed great distances in them safely and swiftly.  One of our customers raced his Switch 51 and took winning honors in every race he entered.  But for all that, the Switch is a very comfortable liveaboard voyager. Her two aft master cabins are very spacious and her forward port V-berth is double bed size.  TREBUCHET is a 2000 Switch 51 (hull # 1) in good condition and well equipped for liveaboard cruising. She is a fully kitted catamaran ready to sail anywhere in the world.  Just take a look at her full specs to see all the gear and equipment.  Her daggerboards and sleek hulls give her the ability to point much higher to the wind than the typical keel equipped catamaran.  She will easily average 9 to 11 knots over a 24 hour period in favorable conditions and she is capable of high teens in surfing and high wind conditions. Unlike comparable Outremer 50 to 55 of this vintage, she is all composite above the waterline (single skin vinlylester resin under the waterline) with all foam cored hull and even foam cored furniture.  Her wider flared hulls will carry far greater payloads without bogging down. The Switch 51 is a fantastic option for any customers looking to go places in style - she is fast, attractive, and comfortable.  You can have the all the advantages of a modern performance-oriented catamaran without the price tag of a new build design. TREBUCHET is currently located in St Augustine, FL and available for showings by appointment.
