This is below cost and never to be repeated, so it’s the BARGAIN YOU’VE BEEN WAITING FOR ! Hurry and grab this opportunity before it’s gone !   “Jabulo” is a 2002 Dean 440 catamaran, built by Dean Catamarans in Capetown, South Africa. She has been our full time live-aboard cruising home in French Polynesia for the past 3 years, however health concerns now mean we must change our lifestyle. In the pursuit of extreme seaworthiness, all Dean Catamarans feature very buoyant full bows with the bridge deck carried well forward and small trampoline area. They feature asymmetrical hulls, where the outside curvature is much greater than the inner hull curvature, resulting in a reduced wave forming action between the hulls (reduced venturi effect). This, coupled with a high bridge deck clearance dramatically reduces under bridge deck slamming, while also improving overall performance. Another feature of Dean Catamaran’s are the mast which is raked aft by 7 degrees. This unusual feature assists both the yachts upwind performance, and its ability to tack through the wind without the difficulties associated with some other catamarans. We have loved “Jabulo” for many things. Firstly the Dean 440 sets a perfect mix of space, comfort and performance. We will sail rings around a ‘condo-cat’, yet still be comfortable and controllable enough to enjoy doing it. Secondly, the boat is galley-down which gives so much more comfort and usable space than the charter oriented galley-up The boat has been imported into French Polynesia and so can remain here forever, for short holiday stays or long term cruising in the best cruising area in the world. Alternatively kick off your trip of a lifetime from here – the boat is fully fitted out and ready to go (just bring your toothbrushes). JABULO history: Jabulo has had 3 owners. The original owner was American and the boat was based on the US East Coast. In 2016 the boat was purchased by the second owner – a German. He cruised the Carribean and passed through Panama Canal in late 2019, arriving in French Polynesia in March 2020. We purchased the vessel at Tahiti on 01 August 2022 and since then have been full time liveaboard cruising in French Polynesia. Presently actively in use and cruising. The vessel was ‘Papeetised’ / imported into French Polynesia in March 2023. Over EUR 75,000 has been spent on improvements to the boat over the last few years. See attached for full summary of boat history and equipment. The boat is located in French Polynesia and is currently German flag. We will consider trade for anything of value.                                                             BUY IN PARADISE - STAY IN PARADISE Recent updates and maintenance2022AugustREPLACED ALL STANDING RIGGING (EXCEPT FORESTAY WHICH DONE BY PREVIOUS OWNER)SeptemberREPLACED ALL COCKPIT CUSHIONS, CLEARS, SUNSHADES AND SALOON UPHOLSTERYREPLACED SOLAR PANELS AND CONTROLLERSOctoberREPLACED 1 X FRIDGE PLUS 1 X FREEZERNovemberREPLACED FUEL TANK2023AprilREPLACE ANCHOR WINCHJuneREPLACE OUTBOARDJulyREPLACE BOW PRODDERREPLACE BOOM BAGAugustREBUILD PORT CHAIN PLATE AND MIDSHIPS BATHROOMSeptemberREPLACED STARBOARD CHAIN PLATE BOLTS2024FebruaryRIG INSPECTIONREPLACED BOTH ENGINE CONTROL PANELS STB = 4,359.5 / PORT = 4,358.1MarchFITTED NEW MACERATORS TO FWD STB AND MAIN HEADSFITTED NEW DEPTH SOUNDER (i50)JulySLIP AND ANTIFOUL (JOTUN NON-STOP)AugustREPLACED ALL ROPE CLUTCHESSeptemberFITTED NEW HIGH CAPACITY BILGE PUMP IN PORT HULLOctoberREMOVE / OVERHAUL / TOTAL RE-BUILD / SERVICE BOTH SAILDRIVESNovemberREPLACED RUDDER POSITION SENSORREPLACED MACERATOR IN PORT FWD HEAD2025JanuaryREPLACED PORT FW PUMPFebruaryEND FOR END MAIN HALYARDJuneINSTALL NEW GALLEY STOVEINSTALL NEW LITHIUM BATTERIESJulyINSTALL SOLID POLYCARBONATE FRONT SCREENREPLACED SPEED SENSORAugustCONNECT WATER HEATEROctoberREPLACED MICROWAVEREPLACED STEERING CABLESREINFORCED TABLE BASE

    $125,000

This is a sail ready (entry level), single sailing Fountain Pajoe Athena 38'. New Genoa sail by North Sail 100% Main sail by Doyle 90%, New cradle cover and hardware by Doyle. New cushions inside and out. Fully enclosed helm station with new isinglass. Ray Marine linear auto pilot and chart plotter. Second back-up plotter (ray marine) in salon. LP 3 burner gas stove, microwave, 12-volt large fridge (built in), New Horizon VHF, Jenson Stereo included. I installed 10,000 dollars' worth of 4 bladed PYI folding props. She was recently bottom painted as of March of 2025. Bottom is cleaned once a month. Water heater etc. This vessel does not have generator nor a/c. However. it does have solar panels and Freedom inverter. I have traveled extensively in this vessel and was always pleased by its performance. The open/wide aft cockpit makes for a comfortable area outside the main salon. The added feature is an enclosed completely dry aluminum cockpit surrounded by 360 degrees of clear isinglass viewing. Engine hours (Port) 1,323.8, (Starboard) 1,312.1 and oil was changed religiously every 100 hours. There are spare oil filters, fuel filters, pumps and more. I would, without hesitation, cast the lines and "sail away to key largo". My reason for sale is simple, I am older, my son much younger and private school just topped over 25 thousand plus for tuition this coming year with 5 more to go before graduation. Recent Yacht history report by (World Check Insights) and pictured below. The vessel was surveyed on September 21st, 2021, by Paul R. Anstey, Inc. Marine surveyor and consultant and valued as/is then, for 105,000 before refit. After, refit value increased to an estimated at 200,000. I have spent close to 75,000 plus since this survey was completed. Please, keep in mind, this vessel is over 20 years old. It really is a diamond in the rough. Before you try and pick it apart (as most will do), ask yourself how you looked over 20 years ago. My asking price is fair and reasonable. Delivery may be negotiated upon request. I could use the vacation. Please, serious enquiries only.
