A major new advance at the stern offers the amenity of a real beach club, courtesy of the new door-opening system that transforms the area into a delightful area to relax in at the water’s edge. A roll bar can be fitted for satellite installations, along with an optional modular hard top with a central awning or glass canopy. Like the rest of the Ferretti Yachts fleet, this new 78-footer is also available in a Tai He Ban version. It is a design philosophy that has won critical acclaim and aficionado affection around the world, including across the Asia Pacific.
Developing the concept for a new project is, above all, a journey. We have not settled for dreaming up an ingenious concept with state-of-the-art technical solutions, increasingly inspired interiors, and living spaces of unprecedented comfort. We pushed ahead, even further, in space and time. Until we were absolutely certain that we had found the new essence of Ferretti Yachts, the quintessence of wellbeing and style.
A standout boat in so many ways, the Contest 52MC is a spectacularly effective design. Especially so as she is Contest Yachts’ first ever motorboat in this league. The yachting press love her looks and her handling. They say she astounds. Her innovative, half-planing hull riding as though on rails, tracking straight and staying flat right through the tightest of turns, trimming perfectly with power options from twin 350hp to 550hp diesels.Attaining this praise, the Contest 52MC presents a newly optimised hull form equally capable of high speed, deep-sea passage making, and slow-paced cruising through inland waterways with absolutely minimal wake or water disturbance. Achieving both with near unbelievable fuel economy. And defying the conventions of traditional planing, displacement and semi-displacement principles, each compromised as they are at one or other end of the performance curve. The joint creation of longstanding design partner Georg Nissen, acclaimed design-engineers Vripack, and the yard’s own in-house design team, the 52MC is also an unusually versatile design platform, available in Fastlane as well as Flybridge versions. Interior layouts are extensively customisable too.

She is the fruit of a partnership between our Product Strategy Committee and the Engineering department – the second yacht with external design by Salvetti and Ferretti Group, with interiors by our own architects and designers. The spacious master cabin echoes the play of colours and materials that grace the main deck, in a peerless private setting that’s a joy to discover.The minimalist yet detailed design provides a continual counterpoint to the walk-in wardrobe and the grand bathroom, where the smoked-glass inserts and functionality of form are in tune with current trends. The winning style of this desirable new model is based on a blend of contrasting textures. The striped ceiling, the ribbed surface of the walls, the grid-pattern headboards and the lounge furniture’s oblique-stripe motif play off one another in a profound natural harmony. The lighting design is an attribute that is unique to the 720. Horizontal LEDs integrate into the ceilings to create a soft, diffuse effect, while independent vertical spotlights with adjustable beams pick out original features with scenic flair.It all adds up to a sublime experience of genuine cruising comfort.
