Solace 37CS: Bank on it
The Solace 37CS sits at the height of center console market. Period.
In an ocean filled with same-same center console boats the Solace 37CS isn’t just a standout, it’s a standalone. Find a design element that’s cutting edge and this boat has it. Look for the latest and greatest construction method and you’ll find it. Run down the list of fishing features and you’ll see it. If you prefer Ferraris to Fords and Michelin stars to McDonalds, this is a boat you’ve got to check out.

Solace 37CS Design and Construction
The layout of this boat is, at first glance, more or less standard-issue for a big center console. You have a triple-wide helm and a hard top with supports running down to the back of the leaning post, which incorporates an aft-facing bait-watcher’s seat. Inside the console there’s a cabin with a head and a V-berth and the forward end of the console incorporates a contoured double lounger up top. There are seats integrated into either side of the bow.
Just about what you’d expect, right? Wrong. That aft-facing seat behind the leaning post houses four big tackleboxes behind the flip-down backrest, and a drink cooler under the flip-up seat bottom. Integrated into the side of the top’s support structure there’s a freshwater sink. The V-berth in the console cabin swings up to expose a massive rod box that can house 11 rods and a pair of gaffs. Everywhere you look there’s an ingenious use of space with unique features that you won’t find on most other boats designed in.

Hull design is tricked-out, too, with a twin-stepped running surface that attacks the waves with 44-degrees of aggression at the entry and 23 degrees at the transom. Even more impressive is the way that hull is created. It’s vacuum infused using carbon fiber with epoxy blend resin. Top supports are carbon fiber, windows are tempered glass, and wiring is UL-rated tinned color-coded copper with waterproof Deutsch connectors. If there’s a better way to put a boat together, it hasn’t been invented yet.
Solace 37CS Fishing Features
If you guessed this boat would be rigged to the teeth and then some, you guessed right. Sure, there are tons of rodholders: nine in the transom, 16 in the gunwales, and 13 rocket launchers. Of course there’s a pair of 40-gallon livewells in the transom. Naturally you have fishboxes in the deck and transom. You might even guess that the helm is outfitted with dual 16” Garmin 8616 MFDs and the transducer package includes a 500-watt CHIRP transducer with SideVu and ClearVu. What you probably didn’t guess, however, is that there are also four electric reel outlets under the gunwales. Nor would one expect a pair of swivel rodholders. And that stuff is all stock. If you want to get fancy, options include turning one or both livewells into racks of tuna tubes, or adding a chiller to the transom fishbox.

Solace 37CS Luxury Features
Like any high-end vehicle sitting at the very top of its range, the Solace 37CS is outfitted for luxury and comfort just as much as it is for anything else. Cushions are thickly padded and secured in place with magnets embedded in the underside and laminated in the seats. The cabin (which has a generous 6’7” of headroom, by the way) is chilled with a 6,000 BTU 12-volt air-conditioning system. The head sink has a pull-out shower sprayer with hot water. An utterly sick JL Audio stereo system includes eight speakers, three subwoofers, and two amps to pump out 1,800 total watts of audiophile enjoyment.
You’ll also spot a number of extra touches and crafty details that will make days spent aboard more relaxing and more fun. There’s a pull-out grill for cocktail cruises, a handy inductive cell phone charger at the helm, and an engine flushing system to minimize the fuss back at the dock. The aft seating arrangement deserves a closer look, too, because while every other boat manufacturer on the planet uses a folding transom bench seat Solace takes an entirely different approach. Instead, there’s a backrest with rocket launchers at the back of the transom, a pair of seat cushions sitting on top of it, and a swing-down footrest integrated into the transom. Remember, the cushions hold in place magnetically so there’s no need to screw down any seat bases and when it’s time to fish you just slide them off and stow them away.

Solace 37CS Performance
It will come as no shock that this boat can perform like a thoroughbred. Speeds of 60-plus mph are in the cards, and you have choices between twins up to 450s and triples up to 400s. Joystick controls are also part of the package. And thanks to tracking chine rails the hull will grip the water in turns rather than skipping or sliding like some stepped boats.

The final question in your head right now probably relates to just how much this boat costs. No, it isn’t cheap. And with the ever-changing nature of boat pricing we’re not about to print a hard number here, which will likely be wrong by the time you read this, though you can of course check out current listings right now. But setting cost aside, if you want to be standing at the pinnacle in every conceivable way when you cast off the lines and point the bow for bluewater, it’s hard to imagine how you could top the Solace 37CS.
